Create digital art that audiences can participate with, and be a part of.
Imagine art that is ever-changing, evolving over time. Art that is more social, open ended and inclusive. Where audiences actively engage and become an integral part of an artistic concept, or story layer. Art that you can invite people to contribute, co-create, and leave their mark, before, during or after an event. Art that is interactive and networked, that persists for generations. Art that reflects the world around us.
The OLTA Fund for Interactive Art seeks creators who value both permanence and participation, who love to create projects that leave a lasting impression. We’d love to support a community of digital creatives to create interactive art, design, music, or story projects, using our toolkit, then together launch the projects into the wild to foster connections through collective experiences.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this match fund, projects must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Utilize OLTA's Collective Art Toolkit to create and publish a collective interactive experience.
Demonstrate a clear concept, vision for how the project could bring people together through shared interactive experiences, enriching the cultural landscape.
Outline how you will approach the development of your web browser based interactive project. If you are not a coder, go collaborate with a coder and let us know your team’s creative / technical skills & experiences.
Publish your project on your own website, friend or a partner website, using our embed feature.
Bonus Requirements
Collaborate with a performing artist for an upcoming gig or event. Create a unique experience that blends interactive art with live music, play, dance etc. Think of ideas around how you can engage audiences before, during and after the event.
While publishing a project is an essential requirement, creators can consider selling customisable interactive art, letting collectors exclusively change their own version of your project.
