Funding the Commons Match Fund

The Funding the Commons Match Fund seeks projects that develop, explore, or celebrate public goods in diverse fields such as art, science, technology, and design. We champion visionary creators who demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in the public goods sphere. Curated projects will receive support of the Funding the Commons community and access to our network of practitioners, researchers, and creators, all striving for a world where public goods are celebrated and prioritized.

To be eligible for this match fund, your project must develop, explore, or celebrate public goods. A public good is any project, activity, or space that benefits a community of people but is freely open and accessible to everyone. Public goods are our mental, cultural, and physical infrastructure: roads, parks, public health and education, knowledge, art, science, culture, journalism, sanitation, fresh air, clean water, and a healthy environment.
