Artizen is a match funding platform for projects at the frontier of art, science, technology, and culture. By launching a new Match Fund, you become its owner and agree to these terms.
Draft Your Match Fund
When you launch a Match Fund, you control its language, tone, and focus:
Title: Give it a clear, memorable name that captures its spirit
Description: Write a concise paragraph describing the types of creators and projects you want to support. Emphasize your mission and values—what do you stand for, and why do you care about these projects?
Eligibility Requirements: List specific criteria that projects must meet to qualify for your Match Fund. These should be clear, concise, and directly linked to your mission or business goals.
Promotion & Outreach
Artizen will list your Match Fund on our site and in submission forms. We’ll also spread the word via newsletters, social media, and direct outreach to promising creators. You’re free to promote your Match Fund however you like.
Curation & Disqualification
Each season, the Artizen community reviews all submissions, votes, and forms an Official Selection for match funding. As the sponsor, you can vote and help curate this Official Selection. When projects specifically apply to your Match Fund, you must approve them if they meet your eligibility requirements. If a project doesn’t align with your fund, you can remove it from consideration.
Sponsorship
To launch a Match Fund, you must contribute at least $500. We accept USD, BTC, ETH, SOL, and USDC, and we’re constantly adding new payment options. Anyone can add more sponsorship money to keep your Match Fund going.
Duration of Your Match Fund
Your Match Fund stays active until qualifying projects collectively raise twice your sponsorship amount. If they raise less than that in a season, the remaining sponsorship automatically rolls over to the next season. If approved projects exceed double your sponsorship, your Match Fund is considered depleted. If you want to keep it active, you’ll need to sponsor again.
Example: You launch a Match Fund with $5,000. To deplete it, projects in your fund must collectively raise at least $10,000. If after one season they’ve only raised $6,000, the remaining $4,000 rolls over to the next season. If in the next season the total surpasses $4,000, your fund is depleted.
Deleting Your Match Fund
You can delete your Match Fund at any time, for any reason. If there’s money left, you can direct it to another active Match Fund or spread it evenly across all active funds. No refunds are provided on sponsorship money.
By making your sponsorship payment, you confirm that you’ve read and agreed to these terms. That’s it—simple, straightforward, and designed to help creators build something that matters.
