Introduction

Artizen is a community-driven platform dedicated to supporting the intersection of art, science, technology, and culture through match-funding. We connect creators with sponsors and fans to bring innovative projects to life, leveraging both cryptocurrency (ETH) and traditional fiat payments. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the standards and restrictions governing the use of Artizen’s platform, ensuring a respectful, lawful, and positive environment for all participants.

Prohibited Activities, Industries, and Goods

Artizen is committed to fostering creativity and innovation while adhering to the highest ethical and legal standards. The following activities, industries, and goods are strictly prohibited on our platform:

  1. Illegal Activities: Any project or transaction that violates local, national, or international laws.

  2. Hate Speech and Discrimination: Content or actions that promote hate, violence, discrimination, or harm against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

  3. Obscenity and Harmful Content: Material that is obscene, sexually explicit, or promotes harm or exploitation.

  4. Dangerous Goods and Weapons: The sale or promotion of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or any other dangerous goods.

  5. Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia: The sale or distribution of illegal drugs and associated paraphernalia.

  6. Intellectual Property Violations: Projects that infringe or misappropriate intellectual property rights.

  7. Fraudulent Activities and Misrepresentation: Any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activities.

Detection and Enforcement

Artizen employs a combination of automated systems and manual oversight to detect violations of our AUP. Our detection methods include:

  • Automated Scanning: Tools that scan project submissions and transactions for indicators of prohibited activities or goods.

  • Community Reporting: A system for users to report potential AUP violations directly to Artizen for review.

  • Regular Audits: Periodic reviews of active and completed projects to ensure compliance with our AUP.

Upon detection of a potential AUP violation, Artizen will take the following steps:

  1. Investigation: Conduct a thorough review of the reported or detected activity to ascertain the violation.

  2. Notification: Inform the user(s) involved in the violation of our findings and the impending actions.

  3. Action: Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, actions may include warning the user, removing the content or project, suspending or terminating the user’s account, and/or reporting the activity to the appropriate legal authorities.

  4. Appeal Process: Users will have the opportunity to appeal against the decision by providing additional context or evidence for review by Artizen.

Responsibility and Compliance

Users of Artizen are responsible for ensuring their projects and transactions comply with this AUP, as well as all applicable laws and regulations. By using Artizen, users agree to abide by this policy and the broader terms of service outlined by the platform.

Artizen reserves the right to update this AUP at any time to reflect changes in our policies, the law, or the evolving nature of our platform and ecosystem. Users will be notified of significant changes and are encouraged to review the AUP periodically.
